Weymouth Recreation offers a competitive developmental swim team for children ages 6 - 18
Stroke technique, physical fitness, self confidence and positive self esteem are the primary goals and benefits of being a member of our swim team.
The team competes in the South Suburban Winter Swim League. Oct. - March. (Due to a coaching shortage we will not be competing in a league this Winter.) We compete in the South Shore Swim League in the Summer.Off Season offers Spring Swim ClinicsPlease see our webpage for the Meet Schedule and other detailed information.REGISTRATION FOR Our Winter CLINICS Team will begin on Thursday, October 26. We have specific groups for specific age groups and abilities. Please read the description prior to registering. M/W - 2 groups
Ages 12+ Advanced Swimmer – i.e. Competitive swimmer – Legal all strokes.
Ages 8-12 Advanced Swimmer – i.e. Competitive swimmer – Mostly Legal all strokes, good swimmer.
T/Th - 2 groups
Ages 6-8 – Beginner Group – New/novice learning the sport of swimming. Can swim, not a swimming lesson, but definitely the beginner group.
Ages 8-12 – Beginner Group/Advance Beginner – Middle of the road swimmer. Might not be legal but getting there. The middle group if you will.
