"The Francis "Jabber" Slattery Memorial Award.”
Weymouth Recreation is again running the Francis “Jabber” Slattery Clinic! We will be hosting a four day program over April Vacation. Eligible players are U8 and U10 boys & girls (birth years 2016-2019). The event will consist of two days of skills, power skating, stick handling & shooting. Followed by team selection & round robin 3v3 tournament Wednesday and Thursday! Registration includes a jersey. THIS IS NOT A LEARN TO SKATE PROGRAM. Full hockey gear and helmet required.
The winner will be awarded the Francis "Jabber" Slattery Award, and have their names engraved on the prestigious trophy!
Mr. Slattery was a long time Director/Commissioner of Weymouth Recreation Hockey and this award was given to a Weymouth Recreation Hockey player back in the early 80’s. We are very happy and proud to offer this great tradition!
